Look forward to meeting Mili

Moments pass by …
Years pass by …
Acquaintances cross your path
you wait and unwind
Memories gather
they keep visiting and re-visiting
We linger with the good ones
while the bad ones often decide to stay
etching not so pretty looking lines,
some on the face
that adds to your grimace
while some deeper on the soul …
But today I look forward to life
and such pretty acquaintances
who gathered the trophy
of being my good friends …
We may not be in touch
even sometimes for years
but when we meet
the years in-between
seem not to have been there …
It’s rejuvenation of the souls
smoothening out some of those lines
balancing out the odds
in a soulful embrace.

(Written on 24-Dec-2009 during my flight for Christmas & new year vacation, looking forward to meeting my first known friend, named Mili, after 17 years).
